We have connections and networks in Scandinavia and Baltics but also around the globe. Furthermore, we are collaborating with many teacher organizations, programming and science organizations and also with science exhibitors.
What are the activities and experience of the organisation in the areas relevant for this project? What are the skills and/or expertise of key persons involved in this project? We are rather digital and modern, and the season 2020 has given us a huge amount of new ideas to be used in remote learning. We organize remote coding sessions, remote robotics competition and (as a day job) we do teaching remotely. Also, the creating of innovative teaching material is our weekly business.
Robotiikka- ja Tiedekasvatus ry is very deeply involved with science and robotics education in Finland. We have created a lot of teaching materials, e.g. the first Finnish text book about Lego robotics is written by our CEO XXXX. Mr XXXXX achieved the STEM teacher award of the year 2016 though his main job is working as a paper machine engineer.
MA, teacher XXXX is a handcraft teacher who includes robotics into his daily teaching. He has been awarded as a technology teacher of the year 2012 and 2019. He has a wide experience on teaching kids from 4th grade to 9th grade, but also on teacher education PhD XXXX creates teaching methods using all available materials and platforms. He creates hands-on-materials available for all. He has a long Covid experience on remote learning systems and pratices.
