Cutting (Note: some plywoods are glued with laser impermeable glue. )

  • 10 W cut 8mm wood in one pass
  • 10 W can cut a 12mm wood board or 3mm black acrylic in one pass at a speed up to 10mm/min.
  • With 5w cut 4mm plywood in one pass (depends of the glue), up to 8mm in 2-3 passes.
  • 7W was great for engraving. It wouldn't cut anything though (Probably it's out of focus: you either have to turn the lens holder or rise / lower it from the material surface. )

  • The laser spot area
  • anti-UV acrylic filter in the eye protection module,
  • Emergency stop
  • Limit switch
  • 10W and metals: very shallow engravings, but only with the help of a chemical called cerakote or similar
