Johdanto

The basics of robotics programming with LEGO Mindstorms. We start at very basics (and fundamental things), but try to catch sensors and if-then-else statements. Python is modern, easily adapted and multifunctional programming language. However, there some caveats in robot programming using python. The course will help you to start Python coding.

To Whom

The course is designed for all, students, pupils and teachers who are interested in Mindstorms programming, or are willing to teach programming. The course is virtual, online at given time and date. All the material will stay here and in Discord until removed.

The needed material is LEGO Mindstorms robot and the programming environment. It can be programmed using tablet or computer, but computer is preferred. You should have a robot made in advance, e.g. Asimov or the LEGO base robot.

The Instructors

The course is held in Finnish, though English guidance is possible. The instructors are Markku Leino and Zwenkka Pietilä.

This course is supported by Meet and Code. The course is made in collaboration with Robotiikka- ja tiedekasvatus ry.
