Quality of the partnership and cooperation arrangements 15
Impact 20

Comments

  • a brilliant idea to combine STEM and environmental issues. Environment in STEM is quite innovative in this model.
    • The same ambition level but more clearly focused, might have been beneficial.
  • Some tasks could be combined more effectively. Budget.
  • The need has not arisen in school's own needs.
  • to promote girls' and women's role in STEM; however, it does not really address this issue very strongly.

Relevance 21

  • AI-driven simulations and ESA satellite data, with Arduino technology, girls' interest!
  • All partners are developing STEM education
  • The proposal is based on a genuine and suitable needs analysis concerning using digital tools for environmental analysis (OECD 2023)
    • the project seems to bring something to schools that they have not identified as a need themselves. The proposal is complementary to other initiatives already carried out by the participating organisations. . .
  • The proposal is relevant for the respect and promotion of shared EU values
  • inclusion and diversity have been taken into account in the project plan quite in passing
    • how other schools can adopt the project results smoothly, even though the platform being developed is free of charge.

The proposal is relevant for the respect and promotion of shared EU values, such as digital transformation, environmental sustainability and equitable Europe for example by remote sensing /Arduino modules into classroom activities. The proposal is innovative because it combines AI-tools, sensing data from ESA's Copernicus programem so that students can explore real-world environmental challenges: The proposal bridges the gap between scientific data and practical application.

Quality of the project design and implementation 23

  • objectives are clearly defined, realistic and quite practical and address the needs
  • The target groups have been selected on good grounds.
  • there has also been left space for planning during the project.
  • The cost-effectiveness of the project is one of the challenges of the project plan.
    • good to include an annex of budget.
    • Large parts of the project's funding go to activities that are not described in detail and the funding is not disclosed in more detail.
    • the project does not use external experts
  • Accessibility and inclusiveness are described in many ways, as different learning styles

Quality of the partnership and cooperation arrangements 15

  • A school from the project leader's country, Finland, could also have been involved.
  • the platform and resources will be conducted in selected classrooms in schools in Finland and Greece. The description of a Finnish school is missing.
    • the planning these schools have been left on the sidelines- although the needs of the schools are studied at the beginning of the project.
  • The project involves two newcomers
  • The project coordination has been planned and its responsibilities have been well defined
  • Communication between the participating organisations has effective mechanisms
  • Regular progress reports
  • The potential risks of the project have also been considered in the planning and prepared for.
  • Universidad de Vitoria could have more knowledge also to the content of teaching material, not only evaluation and testing

Impact 20

  • The impact seems to have been carefully planned among the partnership
  • The number of participants at events is quite realistic
  • The use of ESA and AI-powered learning tools are also a benchmark
  • The application could provide more detailed information on the resources with which different schools will access the results and what tools the project requires from them to implement the planned method.
  • to all educational institutions free of charge
  • a study will be conducted on how the materials have been used and what they have been perceived as.
  • The expectations are partly overambitious, including such envisions as the project to revolutionize students with real world environmental challenges.
  • the project could catalyze systemic change in environmental challenges are desirable but somewhat unrealistic.
