* Heat (to < 100˚C) back cover's right edge (there is less adhesive) for two (2) minutes. | |||
* Suction cup to a center of right edge | |||
* Slice through the right edge | |||
Bottom edge | |||
* Heat for 2 min | |||
Remaining edges. Be careful with the corners. | |||
* Remove the back cover from the frame. | |||
The midframe | |||
* Remove the nine 4mm Phillips screws from the to midframe. | |||
* Loosen the plastic clips. | |||
* Loosen the midframe from the notch on the left edge of the phone (near the power button). | |||
* Disconnect the battery | |||
* Remove the battery | |||
* Find the plastic clips | |||
Remove the main board | |||
* Remove the camera | |||
* Remove the vibrator | |||
* Remove the phone audio plug | |||
* Remove the SIM card | |||
Insert all to the new display | |||
* Glue the back cover |

- Display adhesive
- Rear cover adhesive
My fix

Tools needed to remove the backcover: heat gun, sucker and plectrum

Remove the backcover.

Remove the bottom part.

Mainboard. Remove the camera module (upper left corner) and SIM card tray.

Insert the mainboard to the new display. Remember to change the vibrator and phone plug.

Ensure that the cable looks similar and that the screen is of right size

Check that the phone works. The put the black plastic parts into their place

Glueing is difficult.
Remove the backcover
Back cover's right edge
- Heat (to < 100˚C) back cover's right edge (there is less adhesive) for two (2) minutes.
- Suction cup to a center of right edge
- Slice through the right edge
Bottom edge
- Heat for 2 min
Remaining edges. Be careful with the corners.
- Remove the back cover from the frame.
The midframe
- Remove the nine 4mm Phillips screws from the to midframe.
- Loosen the plastic clips.
- Loosen the midframe from the notch on the left edge of the phone (near the power button).
- Disconnect the battery
- Remove the battery
- Find the plastic clips
Remove the main board
- Remove the camera
- Remove the vibrator
- Remove the phone audio plug
- Remove the SIM card
Insert all to the new display
- Glue the back cover
