Use the stepper motor from an old CD ROM drive.

Some motor controllers on the market.

Adafruit DC & Stepper Motor HAT. 4.5--13.5V. 4 x 1.2 A.
Build your own: H bridge.
IRF520 Button MOSFET. 3.3 V.
L293D Motor driver IC
L298N (Makerfire): contains STL298N ZIP chip. 5V but, can drive a maximum of a 12V motor. 3.5mm terminals.
L298N (CJRSLRB): 5-12 V. 78M05 IC. Max 25W.
L298N Dual H Bridge. Max 35V. Max 2A. Max 70W.
L298N (Drok): 5V, 15V.
PCA9685 (SMAKN). 16 servos.
Pi-Plate: 4 DC motors or 2 stepper motors
Raspberry Pi Motor Driver Board V1.0. 6--28 V. Max 2A.
